We are currently seeking dedicated professionals for classroom teaching positions in elementary grades as well as Spanish and Music. Imagine Lincoln is located in Temple Hills, Maryland which is part of the Prince George’s County School District.

Imagine Lincoln PCS is seeking dynamic classroom teachers and specialty staff who must be professionally prepared to fulfill the duties and responsibilities shown below.

 


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS and DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:



 



1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.



2. Eligible for Maryland State Board of Education professional certificate in at least one of the following areas: Early Childhood Education (PreK-3), Elementary Education (Grades 1-6), Middle School (Grades 4-9), or Specialty Area (k-12)



3. Extremely ambitious and willing to be a team player.



4. Passionate teacher with strong content area knowledge and instructional practice.



5. Exceptional interpersonal skills with an exceptional work ethic.



6. Strong desire to serve students in an urban setting.



7. Must be adaptive to change and detailed oriented.



8. Desire to engage parents as partners in the education process by maintaining a customer service orientation.



9. Commitment to professionalism and ability to model strong character both at school and in the community.



10. Ability to work in an environment with an emphasis on a Joy at Work management philosophy under which all Imagine Schools operate including Integrity, Justice and Fun.



11. Strong desire to take on leadership roles.

EDUCATION COORDINATOR
CIVIC CENTER OF GREATER DES MOINES

The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines is seeking an individual to play a leading role as the Education Coordinator.
 
The Civic Center is Iowa’s premier nonprofit performing arts center; it embraces education for all ages as a critical piece of its mission – to engage the Midwest in world-class entertainment, education and cultural activities. The Civic Center presents three performing arts series: Willis Broadway Series, Prairie Meadows Temple Theater Series, and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Family Series, in addition to the school-audience focused Applause Series. The Civic Center is also home to three resident arts partners: Des Moines Symphony, StageWest, and SmartTalk lecture series. Last year, more than 30,700 patrons participated in Education and Community Engagement programs; with an overall attendance of 300,000.
 
The primary focus areas of the Education Coordinator are on K-12 education initiatives and public community engagement programs. The position is the primary coordinator for: marketing school performances in the Applause Series, writing and creating study guide materials, coordinating in-school workshops and residencies with local and touring artists, overseeing special projects with middle and high school students, and implementing arts-based professional development for teachers. The position also assists in the implementation of community engagement programs such as pre and post performance events, classes, and the Family Series.
