Summary of Position Responsibility:  The Music Therapist provides music therapy interventions to improve quality of life for patients and family members.  They also participate in Hospice of Northeastern Illinois philosophy to treat the whole person; spiritual, physical, medical and emotional needs.  The music therapist uses music as a means to treat these needs in each individual and provide support to families.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


Provides music therapy to patients and family members, which includes performing music therapy assessments and interventions based on the patient care plan.

Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and reviews referrals and appropriate patient and family information with Hospice of Northeastern Illinois team members.

Schedules all music therapy visits for patients and family members.

Orders and maintains music therapy supplies and equipment.

Other duties as assigned.
 



Meets and/or consults with patients and family members to establish goals.

Documents music therapy visits, goals, interventions and outcomes.

Increases staff and volunteer awareness of music therapy.



 Requirements

Education & Formal Training Required:

-Bachelor’s degree in music therapy

-Music therapy internship

-Training using music therapy with all age groups and with different populations
 

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations Required:

-Music Therapy Board Certification
 

Job Experience Required:

-3 to 6 months experience in music therapy (can include music therapy internship experience)
 

Specialized Competencies (Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors) Required:

-Organization skills

-Communication skills: verbal, musical and written

- Basic therapeutic skills (establishing therapist-patient relationship, assessment, active   listening, healthy boundaries, developing specific goals and interventions for pt.

-Proficient in several instruments (i.e. voice, guitar, piano, rhythm instruments)

- Able to compose/improvise music according to pt’s needs and desires

-Computer skills, Word, patient documentation database, e-mail, internet, voicemail

-Ability to use electronic and recording equipment to record music according to patient desires.

I am the Administrator of this assisted living community in Newington, CT and I am currently seeking a person of passion and enthusiasm to become our acting Activities Director. This position will be full-time from April 1, 2010 to August 1, 2010. At that time the position will become approximately 3 days per week. The current Activities Director will be going out on Maternity Leave late April/early May and expects to be gone until mid-July. She plans to return to the position in a part time capacity.

Middlewoods of Newington is owned and operated by United Methodist Homes, a local, faith-based, not for profit organization. In addition, we are a Planetree Continuing Care community: focusing on a relationship centered approach that concentrates on strengthening the communication and relationships between Residents, Staff, Families and Volunteers.

MOVIE EXTRAS - ACTORS - MODELS

 

This is an opportunity for Full and Part Time work. Make up to $300/day standing or sitting behind the main actors in films, commercials and TV shows.  You may be asked to ride a bicycle, play cards, drink coffee in a coffee shop, or simply talk to someone.

MOVIE EXTRAS (background players) are the actors in the background who make scenes look realistic and alive. There is a constant need to fill the background of movies, TV shows, TV commercials, music videos, sitcoms and reality shows. Movie Extras get paid up to $300 a day for filling these spaces, standing around, or moving around behind the actors. 

 
Because most Extras are not required to speak, they absolutely don’t need any experience in the entertainment business. There are also no physical requirements – movie makers need individuals of all shapes and sizes to represent groups of real people.  Health care, nursing, medical, RN, lab technician experience is a plus for this entry level position.

Nurse Case Manager

Responsible for daily coordination and medical case management of all worker compensation cases for Universal Orlando. Includes first notice of injury notification, employee contact and follow up, claim coordination with carrier, appointment scheduling and authorization, and medical case management as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinates claim information between UO, employee, supervisor and Carrier (work status, referrals, medications etc).
Contacts all injured employees to disseminate information, identify work status, assure employee understands the procedures, while assuring all correspondence is current and accurate for work offers, work refusal.
Coordinates and meets with medical providers to assure understanding of UO operations and ability to accommodate restrictions, improves reporting structures from providers to obtain current work status.
Inputs and/or reviews all case information in database to include work status, lost time calculations, progress notes, First Notice of Injury information, and conversation summary.
Authorizes and schedules specialist appointments, medical devices, transportation.
Provides Nurse Case Management on cases as necessary.
Provide case review for both Workers comp and personal disability claims.
Provide case review of problem audiograms and arrange follow-up evaluations to determine work relatedness and OSHA recordability.
Works with Risk Management on surveillance requests, denials, employee terminations and litigation.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
